Bharti Airtel has announced a strategic partnership with Apple to offer Apple TV+ and Apple Music to its Wi-Fi and postpaid customers.
Home Wi-Fi customers on plans starting at Rs. 999 will have access to Apple TV+.
Postpaid customers on plans above Rs. 999 will receive 6 months of free Apple Music along with Apple TV+ access.
Airtel said the partnership would enhance the entertainment offerings for its customers, providing access to a wide range of premium content.
The move also aligns with Apple’s strategy as the tech giant struggles to find enough customers for its streaming video-on-demand service.
Earlier this month, the iPhone maker that rarely launches products outside of the Apple ecosystem, launched an Android app for Apple TV+.
Apple lags in a market led by Netflix, Amazon’s Prime Video globally and Mukesh Ambani’s JioHotstar and JioCinema locally in India.
Apple TV+ subscriptions are available starting at ₹99 per month in India, significantly lower than the $4.99 in the U.S.
