Infosys has announced a strategic collaboration with Lufthansa Group and Lufthansa Systems to drive digital innovation in the aviation sector.
A new Global Capability Center (GCC) will be established in Bengaluru, India, focusing on software development and support for airline IT products.
The GCC aims to develop sustainable aviation IT products using Infosys Topaz, an AI-driven technology. It would aide both Lufthansa’s own software and product development but also to provide Lufthansa Systems’ external airline market customers.
The two companies said the partnership would help improve aviation safety, efficiency, and customer experience for Lufthansa’s clients.
Lufthansa CIO Thomas Rückert said the establishment of the center would help avaiation industry at a time of “unprecedented challenges, from volatile fuel prices and increasing operational complexities to global political uncertainties,” while also optimizing the airline company’s operations.
INFY share price was up 0.47% to trade at ₹1851.2 on last check at the BSE.
