Several regional government websites and at least one website affiliated to Modi Government’s Ministry of Agriculture have been infected with malware, Dzambhala has confirmed.
The discovery was shared by venture capitalist Deedy Das on social media platform X.
Dzambhala independently confirmed the presence of the malware on the government websites. At least a dozen government websites appear to have been hacked with over 200 links compromised.

The hacker has placed several links on the websites, enticing the visitors with ability to make ₹5000 to ₹100,000 every day online.
These links when clicked would infect the user’s device with malware.

According to the ICANN information of the scamming website fetched by Dzambhala, it was registered on December 21, 2024 using the Route 53 service of Amazon.
